2026 Home Season at ODC Theater

RAWdance’s 2026 theatrical season features three exciting Bay Area premieres. “Art is a Guarantee of Sanity,” originally commissioned for the Missouri-based company MADCO, as part of Dance St. Louis’ New Dance Horizon program, draws haunting imagery and inspiration from author Susannah Cahalan’s memoir “Brain on Fire” and from the work of visual artist Louise Bourgeois. “Surfacing” is a dynamic, visually-striking, ensemble work reinvented from a commission that RAWdance Co-Artistic Directors Ryan T. Smith and Wendy Rein developed on students at Webster University. And rounding out the program, Rein and Smith perform a new duet that folds in bits and pieces of RAWdance past and draws on their long history as dance partners.
