It’s finally happening! After eight months of online Choreo Club sessions, Ryan and Wendy will be teaching live and in-person at Yerba Buena Gardens on Sunday, August 1st.
Open to any and all, this hour-long, free session will offer all new material for the 50-minute class. No experience necessary. For the last 10 minutes, anyone who’s been following along with Choreo Club sessions will be encouraged to join and dance the long phrase that’s been accumulating since November.
After months of virtual Choreo Club gatherings, let’s come together as a collective, live and in-person, in the beautiful Yerba Buena Gardens!
About Choreo Club
Inspired by their years teaching dance workout classes, holding workshops on contemporary choreography and technique, and pulling together the occasional flashmob, the goal of Choreo Club is to create a stylized contemporary dance for all levels* of dance experience, true to the RAWdance style, that will feed your need to move!
Choreo Club Philosophy: For this class to be a space for our community to come together through dance, it’s vital that we all strive to make the class open, inclusive, positive, and safe for everyone participating. This includes creating a space that upholds anti-racist practices. This includes a space that embraces any expression of gender and sexuality, that celebrates all bodies and physical abilities, as well as every age, socio-economic status, nationality, and spiritual belief system. Creating, celebrating, and navigating community is important and also takes work from each of us individually. We ask that all participants work with us towards these values of respect and equity.
*Everyone is welcome, this class is designed with non-professional dancers in mind.
