The reviews are in! Read what the critics have to say about Mine:
“intricately structured, excellently performed” – Rita Felciano, SF Bay Guardian
“visually arresting” – Irene Hsiao, SF Weekly
“deliciously unpredictable tour de force” – Heather Desaulniers, Heather Desaulniers: Dance Commentary
Mine (world premiere) is an evening-length work for five dancers, mapping the human urge to control life, and exploring our impulse to possess. Together with collaborators Joel St. Julien (composer), Sean Riley (scenic design), Jim French (lighting design), and Mary Domenico (costume design), RAWdance transforms the unconventional Joe Goode Annex into an elevated playground of ropes, and offers an intimate, charged experience for limited houses.
The creation of Mine has been made possible thanks to generous support from the Zellerbach Family Foundation, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Grants for the Arts/SF Hotel Tax Fund, and many individual donors through Kickstarter. Space support was provided by Joe Goode Performance Group.
