New Dance Horizons V

Dance St. Louis presents the premiere of Art is a Guarantee of Sanity, a new RAWdance work performed by one of the premier modern dance companies of St. Louis, MADCO. Vibrating with tension, and filled with luscious dancing, the piece draws on the story of Susannah Cahalan, the imagery of Louise Bourgeois, and the music of SF-based composer Surabhi Saraf.

New Dance Horizons commissions three national choreographers annually to create new works for St. Louis companies. Alongside RAWdance and MADCO, PNC Arts Alive New Dance Horizons V will feature new works by fellow San Franciscan Amy Seiwert for Saint Louis Ballet, and Chicago’s Stephanie Martinez for The Big Muddy Dance Company.
