About the Night of Ideas:
For this special event, the San Francisco Public Library, SFMOMA, and the French Consulate in San Francisco unite to present a seven-hour marathon of debate, performance, readings, screenings, and music, including performances by RAWdance. Free and open-to-all, this 7-hour marathon will feature top thinkers from San Francisco and beyond to spur dialogue on the theme, “Facing our Time: the City of the Future”.
The Night of Ideas is produced in connection with A Night of Philosophy & Ideas, a project of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S. Events will take place around the world, including five US cities, between January 26 and February 2, 2019.
The event is made possible with the support of Friends of the San Francisco Public Library, 836M, the Cultural and Scientific Services of the French Embassy in the United States, French Bee, the Intercontinental Hotels of San Francisco, the French American Cultural Society and KQED.
