The Arts Town Hall is a forum for candidates for Supervisor and the arts community to come together to discuss the positive impact of the arts on all of San Francisco including our youth and our city’s economy. Now in its 4th year, the event grew out of a collaboration between Arts Forum SF and the San Francisco Arts Alliance and has continued to build upon efforts by both groups to educate elected and campaigning policymakers about the role and value of the arts in our City. With help and leadership from the Arts Commission and Grants for the Arts, Arts Forum SF and the San Francisco Arts Alliance joined forces to create a signature event that would bring the arts community together in dialogue with people running for office.
We hope you will join us for this this unique opportunity to engage candidates for San Francisco Supervisor on issues important to our community—support for the arts and artists as well as the city’s strategies for partnering with individuals and organizations large and small to serve neighborhoods and communities equitably and effectively.
If you have an arts-related question for the candidates, you may submit it here. All questions received by October 10thwill be forwarded to event moderator, NPR Arts Desk Correspondent Laura Sydell.
