Dynamic Duos – Exercises in Creating and Dancing Duets
Part of ODC’s Summer Contemporary Workshop series

Artistic Directors Wendy Rein and Ryan T. Smith draw on their fifteen years of performing together and nine years co-creating work to create an intensive exploration of vibrant dueting.

Exercises will be chosen to enhance skills of building trust and developing chemistry, demonstrating responsiveness to your partner, and finding a rigorous collaborative voice for creation and performance. Techniques for sharing space will be explored alongside technical aspects of sharing weight and partnering. Material will pull from RAWdance’s eclectic repertory as well as being generated by participants. Partners will change regularly (no partner required to register). View the ODC event listing.
