RAWdance performs a selection of company favorites from the last 10 years, all presented for free in the heart of downtown San Francisco by the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival. The full Festival runs from April through October, featuring an international roster of music, theatre, dance, and cultural offerings. (Full calendar)
The hour-long program will feature Checkbox (2007), a group work originally created for San Francisco’s Union Square Park; excerpts from Hiding in the Spaces Between (2011), where questions about authenticity collide with a retro-futuristic aesthetic; and After 5:00 (2007, revised 2009), the company’s signature duet that has been performed across the USA and Asia.
Performances will take place in front of the waterfall on on the Esplanade. Drop by after work or bring a picnic!
