Slipping Sand (2021), choreographed and performed by RAWdance’s former Co-Artistic Director Katerina Wong in collaboration with cinematographer Dennis Zollo, is a close examination of human’s relentless relationship to time. Encased in a glass atrium, surrounded by hourglasses, a single dancer contemplates the desire to manipulate time, acknowledges her powerlessness, and inches towards acceptance.
