Through my fingers to the deep
Commissioned by the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival for its 15th anniversary season, Through my fingers to the deep led audiences throughout the numerous pathways, nooks, and levels of the urban park. Taking its title from the reality-bending Edgar Allen Poe poem, A Dream Within a Dream, the work drew inspiration from the complex and controversial history of the Gardens/Moscone area, and the many real and artificial topographical layers beneath its surface. Through my fingers to the deep was developed through support from Zaccho’s Studio Residency Program.
