November 24 & 25
This Thanksgiving weekend the CONCEPT series provides a fun, local, cultural alternative to the consumer mayhem of Black Friday. RAWdance’s beloved series serves up a fresh dose of unique, high quality dance art in a lavish setting, but with a living room vibe. Five Bay Area choreographers, including Kristin Damrow, Rogelio Lopez, and Diane Frank, join RAWdance to share works- in-progress fresh from the studio and revamped repertory tailored for intimate viewing. A modern-day salon hosted by RAWdance’s Artistic Directors, Ryan T Smith and Wendy Rein, the CONCEPT series brings dancing and innovative choreography up-close and personal through this celebrated pay-what-you-can event. Now in its 21st round, the series continues in the Green Room at the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center — a rare opportunity to see dance in one of the most beautiful rooms of the city.
